Our Story

Load-A Waffle was founded in 2020 by Chloe Marshall, just before the first UK lockdown begun. I had just purchased a trailer whilst taking a year out from university. After starting trailer renovations plans for a lockdown were announced, putting all current plans on hold.

Load-A Waffle began offering build your own waffles deliveries to homes during the lockdown, allowing our local community to try our delicious waffles whilst providing a fun activity for those stuck at home. This really was the beginning of Load-A Waff, giving us a chance to get our name out there.

We continued working on the repaint and build of our vintage horsebox and got approached thanks to our growing social media following by The Boathouse at Newquay Harbour. This really set the ball rolling for us, and we’ve been here ever since!

You can find us now during the summer months serving our fresh waffles, barista coffee & daily specials at The Boathouse Street Food on the Beach alongside more amazing traders and travelling round to some local campsites, music festivals and food markets.

We continue to add more yummy options to our menu including our popular Cornish Eton Mess waffle, and our ever-growing selection of vegan options has got us attention from some incredible foodies on Instagram such as @vegan_food_uk with over 200k instagram followers!

Here’s to more success, waffs and fun events throughout 2024.
